There's a MOOSE on the loose!

Hi there!  It's Lawn Fawn release day and there's a moose on the loose!  Oh my gosh, I am so excited!  The wait is over and it's time to load up my cart with Lawn Fawn goodies from the winter release!! I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new Critters in the Arctic stamp set a bit early, and I couldn't wait to ink up the adorable moose!  Gahhhh, I just can't get enough of him!!

Moose

I pulled out a bunch of my other Lawn Fawn sets for this card too.... I used the santa hat from Hats Off To You, the tree from Sweet Christmas and the little birds from Making Frosty Friends.  The sentiment and banner are from the Winter Gifts stamp set.  That's one of things I love most about Lawn Fawn images... you can mix and match them all so well!  Don't you just love that bokeh patterned paper?  That's from the new Snow Day 6x6 paper pad.

That's all for now... off to go shopping and load up my cart!  If you are shopping today, make sure you put Critters in the Arctic in your cart too... you won't regret it! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Mama Elephant & Me Challenge

Hi there!  Today I have a card to share with you for the Mama Elephant & Me Challenge.  This month's challenge is Watercoloring and Birthdays.  I am loving watercolors lately, and I just got the adorable new Carnival Cupcakes and Carnival Toppers and couldn't wait to play along!

I wanted a soft pastel watercolor wash for behind my images, so I took some Distress Inks on an acrylic block and lots of water and brushed on light stripes of color and let them dry.  Then I cut out the panel using the Femme Frames die set.  I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the images, added some Wink of Stella pen and glossy accents to the cherry, and adhered it to my card base.  This card is being mailed, so I had to keep it more flat than I normally like, but I think it turned out cute.  I can't wait to play with these images some more! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #88 - Texture Anyone?

Hello there!!
WAHOO!  It's Monday!  Why am I excited that it's Monday you ask?  Because today is the first day of school in our neck of the woods, AND it's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!!

For my card this week, I pulled out a few sets that haven't seen ink in awhile... You've Got Mail and Flying By.  To add texture to my card, I started off by running a white card base through my cuttlebug with a Tim Holtz embossing folder, then I sponged over it with a few different shades of distress ink.

Sending Love

Cat's Meow Halloween {Papertrey Ink}

Hello there!!

I know it's only August, but in a effort to prove to myself that I don't need any more halloween stamps, I pulled out my favorites and wanted to get some cards made.  I make very little for halloween usually, and I figure if I can have my projects finished before I stare at new halloween releases long enough, I won't cave and order them. LOL!

If you've followed my blog for awhile, it's no secret that Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats series is one of my favorites.  The scale of the images is perfect to go with the Cat's Meow set, and they are both such cute and whimsical sets that they compliment each other so well!

The spider in the Tremendous Treats set was a little too big, so I pulled out my Tiny Treats Halloween set and they were the perfect size.  And of course, I couldn't make a halloween card without the Spider Web dies! :)

Just ME Prints Beach Girl Digi Blog Hop!

Hi there!  I'm super excited to be participating in my good friend Elena's blog hop!  Elena has been sharing her super cute doodles on her blog for awhile now, and has decided to offer up a free digi for everyone to use!  You can find her little Beach Girl available to download from her blog.

I resized the image in photo editing software, and sized it so that it was a similar scale to Lawn Fawn's Life is Good Stamp set.  I wanted to build a little scene with the Beach Girl, and make it appear that the flag she is holding is meant to top her newly built sandcastle. :)

There are a bunch of other girls joining in on the hop too!  I can't wait to see what they have created using this adorable image!  Here is the full list:

You're My Universe {Paper Smooches}

Hi there!  It's been awhile since I pulled out my watercolor brushes... There is something so relaxing about watercolor to me.  I kind of just splash paint or ink on the paper and impatiently wait to see what it will look like when it dries.  For my card today, I used Distress Inks to make a galactic background for my little astronaut. :)

I used the Paper Smooches Space Cadet stamp set... Another set that hasn't seen ink in awhile... I just love it!  So fun digging through your stash and playing with goodies that need more attention.

You're my Universe

I will be entering this card in the current SPARKS Challenge - Anything goes!

Lawnscaping Challenge #87 - Back to School

Hi there!  It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  Challenge #87 is all about Back to School! (Can you believe it's almost that time again?!  Where did summer go?!)

This challenge is sponsored by the super fabulous Simon Says Stamp!

For my card today, I used the Science of Love Stamp set, along with Milo's ABCs and the Louie's ABCs dies which I am in LOVE with!!  I can't seem to stop using these alphabet dies... I just adore them!

First Day of School

I started with a piece of black patterned paper from the Peace Love Joy 6x6 pad, then I die cut the letters for "school" from post-it notes using Louie's ABCs.  I positioned them on the patterned paper where I wanted them and sponged over them with white ink to mimic the look of chalk dust on a black board.  Super easy and such a fun look!

I hope you'll join us for a chance to win a great prize!  Be sure to visit the Lawnscaping blog for all of the challenge details and for more inspiration from the design team! :)
