You Color My World {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hey there!  Happy Monday!  It's party time over at Clear and Simple Stamps!  Today, the team is sharing some fun party ideas using new products from Collection 8.

For my party, I decided to go with a modern rainbow theme.  I used the diamond pattern from Designer Lines, along with Rag Doll Emma: Color to create a fun and colorful ensemble.

Rainbow Ensemble

For the invitation, I used Party Elements: Critters and Designer Lines.

Rainbow Invite

To make a gift tag, I used Tags 1, Designer Lines, and Rag Doll Emma: Color.

And finally, for a fun party favor, I used Party Favor 10.  I love how cute Emma looks holding her giant crayon along with the real thing.

Release in Review - Rag Dolls {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there!  Today, we are revisiting the Clear and Simple Stamps Collection 8 Rag Doll release!  For my project, I used four of the new dolls; Emma, Willa, Jake and Wesley.  I paired them with the new Flashcard and Flashcard Filler sets to make a fun color book.  My two year old nephew is working on learning his colors, and I thought this would be a great help to him :)

I used paint swatch cards from the hardware store as pages for my book, and then cut front and back covers from white cardstock.  Each page features the insert from Mini Tri Fold 2 with the grid stamp from Flashcard Fillers.  The name of each color is stamped on a Favor Flag die cut using the Alpha Duo stamp set.

That's it for me!!  Be sure to visit more of the Design Team for Collection 8 Rag Doll inspiration! :)

From Pin to Paper {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there!  Today, the CSS Team is sharing some fun projects with you!  We were challenged to choose a photo on Pinterest, and create a project based on that photo.  Well, I am sort of addicted to Pinterest, and I couldn't narrow down my choices after pinning a ton, so I combined three of my favorites!

Pinterest Sources: Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3

Using my Cloud Combo dies, I die cut a cloud from a post-it note.  Using the negative image, I sponged clouds in a rainbow of Distress Inks, overlapping them slightly as shown in Photo 2 above.  Then, using a fine tip black marker, I traced around each one twice, like Photo 1 above.  The sentiment is from Rag Doll Willa: Dream.

Lawnscaping Challenge # 66 - Monochromatic

It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  Challenge #66 is all about Monochromatic Colors.  For my card, I knew I wanted to use the cute little acorn from Into the Woods and my new Stitched Leaves dies, so I went with a brown monochromatic color scheme.

*click to enlarge*

I first cut a piece of Kraft card stock and embossed it with an embossing folder.  Then, using Distress Ink, I sponged over the embossing to make it stand out a little bit better.  Leaving the Leaf dies connected, I ran them through my diecutting machine, and then popped a few of them up on foam squares.

Challenge #66 is sponsored by Lawn Fawn!

Blog Feature: Ombre Copic Coloring {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there!!  Today, I have a little tutorial for you.  I am loving the ombre trend lately, and the open line sentiments from the CSS Rag Doll sets is perfect for that!!

Here is a mini card set that I created using the Ombre Copic Coloring Technique:

For my card set, I used the new Rag Doll Wesley: Note, and the tiny flowers and leaves from Taglines: Critters.  Each 3" x 3" square card features the largest square diecut from the Squares Combo, popped up on foam squares.

Here is a close up photo of all 4 cards packaged in a 4" glassine envelope with a stamped tag using the Rag Doll Tea Party set and Tea Bag Tag die:

Here are a few pictures to show you how I achieved this look:

1. I started off by using the lightest color in my marker trio, in this case RV10.  I filled in the word "note" completely with that color.
2. Then, using the darkest color in the trio, in this case, RV14, I colored in the word from the bottom, about 1/3 of the way up.
3. In step 3, I used the middle shade, RV13, and blended it into RV14.
4.  In my final step, I used RV10 again, this time, blending it into RV13, and then going over the entire word again with RV10 to fully blend all three colors together.

I love this technique with all different colors.  The trios that I used in this project are as follows:

Pink: RV10, RV13, RV14
Yellow: YR32, YR35, YR38
Aqua: BG11, BG13, BG15
Purple: V12, V15, V17

I hope this was helpful to you!  Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Good Morning!  It's time for another Pinspired Challenge! :)  The inspiration photo is so bright and vibrant... just the way I like it!  For my card, I used two Paper Smooches sets, Pretty Momma and Word Salad.  I diecut a piece of PTI Aqua Mist cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Journaling Card die, and then used a smaller rectangle die to cut out the window.

Challenge #17 is sponsored by Whisker Graphics!  They are giving away three rolls of their solid twine!

Collection 8: Rag Dolls {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there!  Collection 8 Release Week continues with Clear and Simple Stamps.  Today, we are focusing on my favorites of the release, the Rag Dolls!

This release, the Rag Dolls are going back to school, and are carrying giant crayons and pencils.  Each combo includes a Rag Doll, coordinating die, and an Art or School related sentiment.  I just think they are so adorable!

For my ensemble today, I chose to work with Emma: Color.  I love the "You Color My World" sentiment that comes with her.  I wanted to create something with an art-sy feel, and make it look like Emma was actually doing the coloring on my project *wink*

First up, my card:

I used one of the heart images from the Hearts Combo for Emma's drawing.  Of course, I had to use the Rag Doll Shadows from Rag Doll Scenes 3.  To finish things off a bit, I added a hand drawn border.

I repeated a similar pattern with the heart and hand drawn border on a coordinating Party Favor 13 diecut to complete my ensemble.

Collection 8: Back-to-School {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hey there!!  Today I have a new series, available now, from Clear and Simple Stamps Collection 8.  This series is titled "Back to School."

I am a very visual person, and flashcards have always been a huge help to me.  CSS is now offering Flashcards and Flashcard Fillers, perfect for creating flashcards of all sorts.  There are also bits and pieces in the set that will allow for the creation of a Memory Game, and I couldn't wait to create one to share with you!

For my game, I used the Flashcard and Fashcard Fillers sets along with the Critters!

The Flashcard sets coordinate with the Mini Trifold 2 insert.  The flashcards fit perfectly in the Crayon Box party favor 6.  I decorated the box with Taglines Critters and Taglines Critter Pals.  The "memory game" sentiment, from Flashcards, is stamped on a Favor Flag die cut.  The grid pattern is from Flashcard Fillers.

Each of the game cards is stamped with critters from Little Critters,  Little Critter Pals 2 and Little Critter Pals 3.

Lawnscaping Challenge #65 - My Favorite Things

Good Morning!  Happy Labor Day!!

Today starts the beginning of another Lawnscaping Challenge!  Challenge #65 is all about favorite things!
For my card, I used a few of my favorite Lawn Fawn products, and made a card inspired by my favorite season, winter.

My card uses the first Lawn Fawn stamps that I every purchased, Making Frosty Friends.  I love that there are new dies that coordinate!  I also used the Hearts dies, and a new favorite, Milo's ABCs.  The patterned paper in the background is the new Peace Joy Love 6x6 paper pad.
